The Vivacity Speed Check Sign is a full colour speed feedback sign that uses a radar to detect a vehicle’s speed and to display a responsive message. For example, a frowning face may be displayed when an approaching vehicle is detected exceeding the speed limit or a smiling face when the vehicle is within the set limit. The vehicle’s speed can also be displayed or custom bitmaps and messages uploaded.

Suitable locations are school zones, shared zones, kindergartens, zebra crossings or where busy roads enter residential areas. It can be used in workzones and mounted on vehicles or a trolley to provide a workzone traffic management device to improve safety for workers on high-risk roads.  Local Codes of Practice should be checked to ensure the sign is operated in accordance with local regulations.

Settings

Bluetooth connectivity enables settings from Android and Windows devices. The Speed Check Sign can be programmed for speed zones and messages to vary by time of day. Minimum and maximum speeds can be set. The display has automatic brightness regulation and a high contrast display.

Power Supply

The Vivacity LED Speed Check Sign is highly energy efficient. It requires 12V of power and peak energy use is 4W. Mains or solar powered options are available – please specify when requesting a quote.

Speed Monitoring & Data Collection

The Vivacity Speed Check Sign stores non-identifying data for each vehicle, enabling the road manager to download and analyse speed data. Up to 200,000 speed records can be stored (full colour version only).

Mounting

60 or 76mm pole brackets are included. Note that the mounting pole and/or trailer are not included in the standard Vivacity LED Speed Check Sign.
