Workplace safety signs for volatile environments

Safety Path’s workplace signs are available in a cloth fabric wafer version that is ideal for high-risk environments where highly conductive materials, such as aluminium and steel backed signs, need to be avoided or cannot be used at all. Examples include chemical plants, industrial sites, mine sites and some types of manufacturing, where the risk of static electricity needs to be reduced or eliminated.
Safety Path’s cloth fabric wafer signs are printed on a photoluminescent vinyl wafer so they have enhanced visibility when light levels reduce, as well as in unplanned blackouts and brownouts. They ensure that as people move through the workplace to a safe location in an emergency, such as an exit or refuge, they can still see danger signs, hazard warnings and locate essential safety equipment.
Australian Standard 1319 – 1994 Safety Signs for the Occupational Environment is the Australian Standard for workplace safety signs. Self luminous materials are permitted by Clause 3.5.3 of AS 1319 – 1994.
The wafers are flexible and can be adhered to a stiff or solid backing using adhesives appropriate to the work environment, attached to an existing rigid material or slipped into an appropriate plastic sleeve. Fastenings and mountings are not included with the signs – they need to be specific to each workplace’s safety requirements for conductive materials and approved installation methods.
To order wafer signs for high risk and volatile work environments such as industrial and chemical plants and mine sites, select ‘wafer’ when ordering your signs.
Custom signs can be made to order. Minumum order quantities may apply. Please contact us for a quotation and specify whether you can supply the art work and the format that it is in and well will provide a quotation.
